PASTORAL LEADERSHIP

Reverend Dr. Samuel E. Morgan arrived in Fresno in 1986 on a track and field scholarship from Southern California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fresno, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from National University, and a Doctoral degree in Christian Counseling from Ecclesia University of Divinity, International.

Rev. Dr. Morgan began his ministry at Westside Church of God in 1998 as the first youth pastor on staff under Bishop Paul L. Binion, II. He later served as associate minister and Minister of Congregational Care, providing pastoral counseling, grief support, and guidance to help members navigate life’s challenges. In 2020, he was elevated to assistant pastor, continuing to shepherd the congregation with wisdom, compassion, and care.

Beyond the church, Rev. Dr. Morgan dedicates himself to creating opportunities and equity for others. He currently serves as Director of Disabled Students Programs and Services with the State Center Community College District, after years of leadership at Central Valley Regional Center and Resources for Independence. His heart for service, advocacy, and mentorship extends throughout the community.

Rev. Dr. Morgan has been happily married to his wife, Bridgette, for 27 years. Together, they have raised three children and continue to serve God and the community faithfully. His passion for the ministry, service to people, and therapeutic foundations have all contributed immensely to his unique ability to lead and connect to others.

Reverend Paulette Norris is a native of Fresno, California. She is ordained and faithfully serves as the Associate Pastor at Westside Church of God under the tutelage of Bishop Paul Binion, II. With love for God and a clear understanding of her purpose in Christ, the Lord has given Rev. Norris a ministry to heal the wounded heart, the broken in spirit, and to encourage others to step out on faith as they strive to reach their destiny in God. She desires to see all believers, especially women, spiritually, emotionally, and physically whole.

The Lord has taught Rev. Norris critical Biblical truths through personal testing as a single mother, dealing with the loss of a child, and living through blended family issues. God uses her message to draw believers into a personal and intimate relationship with God.

Rev. Norris interblends Biblical teachings with her own life stories of struggles and successes, making God's Word come alive.
