Ministry Team Descriptions

CHRISTian Education – oversees various areas of ministry with regards to educating and empowering our Children, Youth, and Young Adults in biblical pr
inciples and teaching. The areas of ministry include:
F.A.T. (Faithful, Available & Teachable) Tuesday Teachers. FAT Tuesday is our weekly bible study on Tuesday evenings in which we come together and teach biblical principles and living to our children, youth and young adults.
- Sunday Nursery – Barbara Ates & Bridgette Morgan, Co-Directors. This ministry is where our infants and toddlers are served during Sunday service time.
- Sunday “T-time” (Temple Time) – Diane Coleman & Antoinette Pugh, Co-Directors.
This ministry is currently held during part of our Sunday service time, where our potty-trained children aged 3-9 years old come, fellowship and learn.
R.A.P. (Resource, Activity & Publicity) Team –Taisha Lewis, Team Leader. This team serves as the “Activities Team” for this ministry, primarily our children and youth (ages 0 – 17). They handle the planning of main events for this ministry such as Vacation Bible School, the Back-2-School Revival, the monthly activities and more.
Young Adult Ministry –Kimberley Binion & Antoine Faulkner, YA Ministry Co-Leaders. This ministry meets the needs of our young adults aged 18-25 years old, including their fellowship, fundraising, and community service projects, etc.
Follow-Up Team Ministry. This is the team that cares for as well as acknowledges the victories and accomplishments of our children, youth and young adults.
Team NEO (Network, Enterprise & Outreach) OUR NEWEST MINISTRY! This is the team that networks with other local, regional and national church ministries and community organizations on behalf of CYYA, so that our children, youth and young adults can fellowship and create positive working and ministry relationships with those churches and/or organizations. This team is also responsible for collaborating with each CYYA team in coordinating all fundraising events and seeking grant funding for the CYYA ministry.
